Just installed a different trans into my 94. At this point, it has some DTT parts, and some other parts. Not 100% sure what all it has in it. I just know that it is able to hold all the power I can toss at it right now! And for the $$$ is MUCH better than what I had! Should get me by for a little bit! Already dropped 1/2 a second off my 1/4 mile times!
I have a few questions at this point...
#1, The truck that this was in, had a 4k kit. So it wanted to shift way later than my truck would spin. At WOT it would stick in 2nd. To fix this, I loosened the TV cable. Now, it fixed the issue, but did that also lower the line pressure? I have heard that if you do that on the newer transmissions it will. . Is the 47RH the same? Should I put it back, and just install the 4k kit? Also, what is the correct way to setup the TV cable?
#2, My lockup takes 5 seconds to kick in after I hit the switch. With my other trans it was almost instant. I can force unlock and then flip back to lockup really fast, and it still stays unlocked for 5 seconds. What do I need to change to fix this?
#3, My 1-2 shift is kinda slopy. All the others are nice and crisp. I am going to check band adjustement, and change the fluid... What else?
