Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 95 12 valve swap into 2000 truck pcm?

Selling a 12 valve motor out of a 95 truck to a guy swapping it in to a 2000 or 2001 truck and wanting to know a out how to control transmission and make seem less. He is under the impression that he will need to use my pcm on the firewall but I would right imagine to control 47re he will need his but not sure how that works for tps and all. Any help is greatly appreciated
