My supply line connection is just aft of the fuel filter and the return line connection is just forward of the fuel filter is this where all 1995 2500's connections are?

I ask this because I recently purchased some hose that was precut for my year truck in fact 94-98 12v and neither hose was long enough but still thought both were the same length. I found the return line was about 7" longer after you route it in back of the fuel filter. Has anyone else seen this?

Joe here's the best I can do there isn't much room for a camera. To change the return line you must do it by feel and the supply hose isn't much better but you can see it.

I just wanted to make sure I knew which ones you were talking about before replying. If the steel lines from the tank are in place in the clips on the back of the engine the hose will be a little shorter. Mine is not stock on the supply side, but I remember that the hoses are a different length. The supply hose is 3/8" ID and the return hose is 5/16" ID.

Thanks Joe,

my steel lines from the tank are in a clip in the frame and terminate right at the transmission. these are the same length. then from there the rubber hoses go up to the connections in the photos. the return is about 7" longer and is 5/16" ID.

The lines were probably cut for trucks where the rubber line connects to metal line half way up the bell housing. This is where mine connect. I used 5/16 line 18 inches long for return line and for supply line 3/8 a little over over 12 inches( I bought 24 inches for both lines).

If your line connects at frame near trans you will need longer line. LarryB Foster Truck sells marine rated diesel hose in 26(IIRC) inches for both lines or cut to order.

Thanks Bill,

The lines that are on the frame have the ridge on them so they don't look like they were cut or they would be smooth. I bought the truck used in 99 and changed the fuel lines out in 2000 and didn't pay much attention if they were the stock hoses. I have changed the fuel lines out 2 time since with the cheap stuff and thought this time I would try some of the marine grade lines that you refered to. Larry B. sent me the hose kit that were 28" each and won't fit. I was stupid and didn't check the return line length and he graciously sent me a set 32" long. Well the supply fits but the return doesn't. I wanted to here from TDR to see if all fuel lines were the same.
