Hello guys,
My brother-in-law has a 95 Automatic 4wd 2500 reg cab diesel,and is having issues with it recently. The symptoms are it sputters,and dies when he lets off of the accelerator pedal when the weather is warm,and the truck is climbing hills or towing. The truck vibrates like on a washboard road when this happens as well. After it dies he can start it back up without trouble,and it is fine for a while. EGT temps drop when it acts up,and the problem is very intermiten. The fuel filter has been changed recently. Non of the other gauges read anything but normal when this happens,and he can't figure out what is causing the problem. He says it is like with a gasser with a spark plug wire removed when it acts up. Any ideas?Could it be a fuel delivery problem?Could his fuel pump be acting up?Is the fuel pump mechanical like my 1st gen?Could it be injector pump related?I think he is fed up with the truck,and may turn to the dark side of GASSERS!!!!!!!!
