95/96 chevy S-10 questions

Ok I picked up a 95 chevy s-10 that has the "96" vortec 4. 3 and rasberry paint code(ok its pink but hey for $950 I coudlnt pass it up). so its a half breed... titled 95 but 96 parts

(4x4 4. 3 vortec 5spd ex cab)



OK the trucks Ive looked at on Ebay dont look like this truck... . My 95/96 has fender flares, skid plates, block heater, aluminum rims yada yada yada It apprears to have the ZR2 look but its not? What years did the ZR option come out? was there a "off road" package available?

I still cant figure out why it has a block heater... (freeze plug heater)

OK another question.



the motor has a hard idle ( misses) but is overfueling badly!!!! and wont quite run when going down the road (spits and spudders if your not into the throttle)



Im not sure what sensor would trip it to fuel to the max... ? there are 3 sensors right on the intake (vortec 4. 3) so im guessing mass airflow sensor or... . ? we thought the cat was plugged and pulled it off yet it was all broken apart and crap in there. got rid of it yet still hard running/idle. Maybe it messed up the upstream O2 sensor? heck I dont know!
