hey i hope this has not already been asked but i could not find it in search. i have a 95 moded lightly and i replaced my junk centerforce clutch with a 13in southbend ofe this summer. i drove the truck for about a week with no problems then when i came home from six weeks at work the clutch will not release fully. with the peddle to the floor you have to be on the brake not to move. so i replaced the clutch slave and master doing my best to get any air out but it is still the same.

i also measured if i compress the clutch fork in to 2 3/4in or more the clutch releases fully

so if any one knows how far it is supposed to compress it would be a great help or any other ideas

thanks jesse

Did you check your pilot bearing when you swapped clutches? I know I have mistakenly replaced a clutch w/o doing the pilot bearing before, and you sometimes end up doing it again. If the transmission did not go back in smoothly and the input shaft catches on the bearing, it can tear it up a bit and cause just enough friction to turn the input shaft when the clutch is not engaged. Makes for tough shifting... especially from a stop.

no the 13in conv comes with a new flywheel with a roller bearing so it should be good. i am going to try the sb slave and master and see it that fixes it if not the trany has to come back out.
