95 dodge 5.9 chk eng lite

I have a friend who has a 95 , 2500 5. 9 v8, he has been getting the check engine light, seems to happen when it gets warm, stayed off most of the winter. Replaced pcv valve, and cleaned EGR unit. Had codes pulled and said something about EGR circuit.

Maybe some wiring shorting out? Does it run ok. ?

Yes, truck runs great, you can't tell anything is wrong.

How many miles on it? I know after a certain mileage, it comes on to get you to take it for service. I think its like 70-75000 or so?

I had the same truck and that used to happen to me from time to time. I'd disconnect the battery for a while and it wouldn't come back on for months.

This truck has 140,000 miles, has never done this before, and really seems to act up when the temps rise. He is going to the dealer today to see what they say, and Ill post it here.
