I recently replaced the fuel gauge sending unit on my brother-in-law's 95. Before reassembly into the tank I plugged in and manually moved the float and checked the gauge to insure that it was working. The sending unit appears to be working indicating fuel level in the tank but the gauge does not return to the empty positition when the key is turned off. Question: does the gauge on the 95 return to empty position with the key off or does it continue to indicate the fuel level with the key off? If it is suppose to return to E does somebody have a solution to why it doesn't.
