I just filled up my truck and it is slowly leaking... I thought it was the fill hoses going to the tank but that is not it. I think its coming from a big white. clear cap on top of the tank... has any one ever had that issue? TIA Garth

Had same problem last week, climbed under and tightened white cap, still leaked. Found vent valve was stuck, tapped on it and leak stopped. .

Be careful. All that plastic stuff is very brittle by now.

Where are you at? I have a complete fuel tank still in my '95.

Thanks I will try that! I am in Knoxville... I was hoping I could just not fill it all the way and I wont have a problem. Its barely dripping when full... So I will try that first! Garth

Yeah, there's a vent on top, you could also try putting a piece of fuel line on that and running it up by the filler neck.

I've had leaks a couple of times. One time it just took tightening up the hose clamps to fix. The other time the big cap was leaking. Tightened it up by tapping it with a 2x2 piece of wood and a hammer. That was over 5 years ago, and no more leaks, so far.
