I have a 95 with an upgraded trans. triple disc torque converter and all the goodies. Before replacing the trans and wiring harness it was locking and unlocking at highway speeds. i've put 35,000 miles on this transmission and it started doing it again. I've read a little on the TPS wiring or something of that source causing interferance. Just wondering if anyone has specifics on the repair?

It could also be the trans temp sensor, so do some searching and investigaing there. A built trans, or one with a tighter converter runs cooler and can run so cold it unlocks to warm itself up.

mine did it.

Easy test, with the engine running, place a bath towel over the front of the radiator, CAC and drive it. If it cured it the sensor needs some tweeking!

When you shut the engine off the towel will fall off so pick it up and put it back in the bathroom before you get caught!!!

I was leaning more towards the temp sensor. It only happens in the morning when it is cold. I placed a rag over the trans cooler and it stopped. How do you adjust the temp sensor?

Well, you can't, but it most likely is bad. Some wire in a 1,000 ohm resistor in its place.

You could replace it but I would do the resistor.
