I have a 95 transmission cooler line that has my transmission temp probe in it but the transmission temp probe has developed a slow leak. I have heard you don't want to use pipe sealing tape for fear pieces would get into the transmission fluid. So what can I use to stop this leak?

Also what is a good way to pull the rear bumper back? My passenger side rear bumper end is rubbing up against the body of the truck. It was this way since I bought the truck and I had bigger things on my mind to do but I want to get this fixed. I was thinking of a slide hammer?

Thanks

Permatex #2 is my favorite thread sealer. Most any auto parts store has it.

You should be able to just loosen the bolts on your bumper to urge it into place.

Thanks

Thanks guys. I'll try those suggestions on the bumper this next weekend if it is not so cold up here. For the leak in the transmission line I need to get some additional fluid fix that the same weekend.

Thanks

I have used the permatex pipe sealant, now I use some other brand of teflon past type product because of the cost. The strap and comealong sounds good, but do be careful, you will be amazed how strong the factory bumper isn't. I bought one with a couple of small dents, brought it home and put it on my 10 ton press to push out the dents and when I put the pressure on it, the dents came out with very little pressure. Those bumpers are really just trim strips.
