Ok, my lines are rusted and one blew today. If I want to take my truck to a hydralic shop, what kind of fitting will screw into the transmission and allow them to connect to the cooler. Whether they decide to use a flexable or hard steel I don;t care, but the fitting on the transmission does not looke like a standard fitting to me.

Is there any online sources for either factory lines, or OEM style direct bolt ons. I want to make this as painless as possible and as cheap as I can.

Hey Fordiesel69, I just got finished repairing my 95 due to the same problem a few weeks ago. If you can avoid the dealership your better off. I bought all of the parts from the dealer, almost $600 in parts. I did the work myself. That included the lines, transmission fluid, filter, gasket and the fittings. I think the thread sizes on the round oil cooler on the side of the engine were 1/2" NPT. The transmission was either 1/2" or 3/8" NPT I think. I had a heck of a time getting the proper parts due to the design change. No more quick connect fittings, they're all flared fittings now. Whatever repair you make, make sure it can withstand the heat and vibration. Many transmissions have been lost due to bad cooler lines, lucky I caught mine in time. Good luck to you.
