My max egt's are 950 degrees. I thought I would be much higher than this.

I have a 175 horse pump. The stcok camplate is slid forward. I push 32 lbs of boost waste gate hooked up. Star wheel turned forward. 19 degrees of timing. 370 injectors. 3k gov kit. Exhaust is straight. AFE air filter.

I checked fuel pressure going down the road. Lowest I could get it to go is 20 psi. But pretty much stayed at 35 psi on average.

Just wondering if my egt's are too low. Or if they are where they should be at this setup.

Im am willing to bet you have your pyro probe post turbo, add about 450 for that and you will be at 1350 which is exactly about where you should be or higher with that set up.

I have similar mods as you and can only muster 1,000* pre turbo. Just got it back together, first punch out of the driveway and it hit 33# and 1200 pre, then after that all I can get is 22# and about 950 pre. I think I need to check the govenor lever to see its hitting.

I have new 370's, #10 plate, stock air box(for now), 16. 5* timing, 175 pump.

Are you still running the factory delievery valves in the pump? I am.

I say check your governor lever adjustment. Sounds like it is riding under the plate and not giving full fuel. Your EGTs should be a lot hotter than 950 pre turbo.

I didn't think I would have to adjust the lever. I'm still running the stock cam plate. Full forward.

Would this be a typical problem if the lever is not adjusted right?

From 3/4 throttle to full throttle theres nothing. If I punch it when its at 3/4 throttle to full throttle. The rate of acceleration really doesn't change. No increase in smoke either.

Yea still running stock DVs

I still say it's your governor lever. I had a similar problem when I installed my 3GSK and was running it with my Banks Otto mind plate. It would get on it for the first part of the throttle, then it would almost bog down and give nothing at 3/4 to full throttle. Installed the #10 plate and didn't need to adjust the lever. The Banks plate just didn't have the optimum profile for the 3GSK. Have you pulled the AFC housing off and checked to see if you need and adjustment by pulling the fuel shutdown solenoid up and giving it a little pedal to see where it's at?

Well I'll have to check it out sometime.

I've had the new pyro for about 3 weeks now. I had that on the back of my mind. I'll check and see if its far enough in.
