The PHAT SHAFT turbo’s the way to go, from Brady at Industrial Injection, the modification done to the bearings and shaft allows them to live, I have been monitoring the turbine speed on my 1128 hp pulls, and when we first started with the waste gate shut the turbo’s endured a lot of grueling punishment as in extremely high RPM's and were none the worse for wear. The 67 PSI boost was obtained with 53 psi of drive, and if I work on the waste gate more I believe I could drop that even more. The EGT’s were very low in the 1200 range, and the intake air before the nitrous intercooler was less then 300 degrees we have not yet begun to work this power plant , I believe that this turbo with a little more tuning is capable of 1400 hp.
