Anyone have recommendations for medium priced front and rear shocks for my '96 2500?
I do tow a lightweight 7x16 flatbed trailer only occasionally.

I think I have Monroe reflex shocks on it now. The truck really sways alot on curves. Don't know if i should add a rear axle sway bar kit.
Any suggestions? Thanks

Definitely on the sway bar. A good mono tube shock like bilstein, edlebrock, procomp, etc. They will run you around $79 a shock. Stay away from stock style twin tubes. You will be happy.

JMcCoy is right on. I have factory anti-sway bars front and rear and after some research I recently installed four Bilstein 4600 series mono tube shocks (highly recommended for stock replacement).

I frequently tow three different types of trailers and my wife and I will be leaving for a 10,000 mile trip with our travel trailer very soon. With the new shocks I noticed significantly improved handling, especially in cornering with or without trailer in tow. You will not be disappointed.

Also keep in mind that your "light trailer" should be properly loaded with the appropriate amount of tongue weight as improperly balanced trailers can greatly affect handling. - John
