Got a 96 f800

Gauges are on their way. Would like to do springs, #4 plate, and a boost elbow.

How does that make you feel?

Do I need to kill the dowell pin?

Thoughts concerns and smart remarks are greatly appreciated.

The medium duty defuels at a low rpm. RPM =hp. It will be too easy to black smoke with an aggressive plate and a small useable rpm range

What is the factory engine rating? If I remember right, that era had 190/460, 210/520 and 230/605. The industrial 5. 9 is low RPM and does not like to run over 2100 under full power. The EGT's will run hot. Under 2100 you can stand on it all day. They respond well with fueling mods but don't like high rpm. I assume this is due to cam profile and pump timing.

My experience is with a standard transmission, if you have an automatic, then what I posted may not apply.
