2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 96' HVAC control

This morning my 96' CTD cool/warm dial started acting different. Until this morning it had a positive click when going cooler or warmer. Now it seems to free spin halfway before it starts to click. Any input? My guess is something has gone loose in the dash.

Pull your knob off and check to see if the plastic has cracked away from the metal insert in the knob. Just broke my second one in 6 months. . luckily theyre only about 8$ at the dealer... mebe i can find one cheaper. . hmm

My knob broke a year after I bought my truck. I glued it back together with super-blue and it lasted another 3 years! :-laf
