I I really like the look of the 1998 (I think it is '98) and up black plastic, non-towing, mirrors.
Will these bolt right up to a '96? Will the power connectors plug together?
What are my add on towing mirror and CB mount options if I do decide to switch?

Thanks for the feedback.

Cooker,

Not sure whether they'll bolt right up or not. I do know you can find extensions just about anywhere - most will vibrate at speeds though. As for the CB antenna mount, I'd recommend the Firestik under hood mount. It goes on the last fender bolt, and fits perfect under the hood. Matches the radio antenna on the other side.

Yes,they bolt right up,but the connectors don't match up. You'll have to look at a manual for both trucks to see which wires does what. You'll also have a few wires left over from the heated mirror glass.

Several of us have done this. They bolt right on. As was suggested to me (thanks Andy) I would cut your old connectors off your 96 mirrors and wire them to your new 98 wires. That way you have a direct plug in connection. If you have heaters in the new ones you will have two extra wires. I have a 96 manual and had someone send me diagrams from a 98. Nothing matched up. You only have three wires to connect and with a little luck you will get in on the 2nd try like I did.
