Will just list by number in case any tips, I have looked at dozens of threads for all items.

1. Comment: Power Steering pump, reservoir is almost rusted all the way thru, scrapped and painted it about a year ago. Have pump and hoses from Geno s already.
1. Q. When doing that I noticed it was really hard to get the lines off the steering box, never did get them off, took off from the back of pump, I was thinking of spraying with Aerokroil, but if that works too well any issues of that getting mixed into the fluid.

2. Comment: Oil Pan Gasket, when I got the truck had a brand new pan on there, leaks like crazy, seems like a big job, have gasket, engine hoist, need to pull a bunch of stuff. Doing some research the exhaust manifolds can be an issue, I replaced my turbo last year and there are no leaks or cracks on mine that I can see, but the studs are pretty rusted, no plans of doing it, but since I have to possibly remove the turbo again, should I look to do something?

2. Q. My plan is to leave it but going to eventually go with 215 injectors so wondering if the manifold will become a issue later.

3. Comment: Very low priority, Bottom of seat brackets are rusted, have been since I got the truck, really need to pull them out and make sure it's just a surface rust as the whole cab was redone prior to purchasing the truck, I think they just skipped a step to paint the frame. I got a carpet kit from stockinteriors.com (its a ACC kit, don't ever buy direct from ACC, I think it was half the price of their site, and was the upgraded carpet with better mastic) it came in a huge ACC box very nicely packed and a DIY headliner kit, seats were recovered by previous owner.

3. Q. I have tinted side windows and rear slider to put in, figure do it with the rest of interior work, looks like I can reuse the gasket on the slider, can I do this solo or should I try to find a helper for this. Wife helped me with the turbo job just to get the new one in. I try to do this stuff solo.

As always just putting this stuff out there, I have read a ton of posts and articles on all the above but if any tricks or someone sees im off, would like to save the hassle of doing it three times.

A leaky oil pan gasket is rare, make sure that is the leak. Check the vacuum pump, injector pump and tappet cover real good.

I will for sure check that, I rebuilt the vacuum pump last year, it comes with a spare set of seals, plus I picked up an extra set from Geno's, just in case I messed that up, it's on the list and parts on hand, will try to degrease it a few days before to narrow it down. It's a leak for sure not a drip.

I've perused a couple salvage yards for a sliding rear window, so when you do yours, would you be kind enough to post some details? ;-]

Pics are 3 pics in one format, just not to confuse folks. To save uploads.

Pic 3 oil pan area

So waited a bit after cleaning the underside. There is a leak on the Vacuum/PS pump, I tried to use a piece of paper to see the fluid type, looks like PS fluid.

Pic1 is engine oil from the dipstick on the left side, the right two mark are from trying to press up on the spot from above.

Good news I did not mess up the gasket to timing cover and the new line to the VP is not leaking at all. I have a PS pump on hand and will work to get that swapped out. If it takes ATF+4 I'm good, otherwise have to pick up fluid next week.

On the oil pan, sure looks like they did a bad job on the gasket, it appears to be leaking from around the gasket for sure not from above. It's a new pan on there, they had the motor out when the did it.

Thanks, that's what I thought I used, have a recent used bottle from the spring, but only a few oz and forgot if that is what I had it from.

l will get all new stuff when I dig into that soon, found a good deal on a tire machine and balancer I want to pick up, so did not want to tear it all apart and not have all the stuff on hand.

Now would be a great time to do my PS hoses, too bad it's in my front shop parking lot, don t want to make a complete mess on the fresh sealcoat and lines they did this year.

They are right there!

I will be tearing it apart twice I guess when I get it back home.
