I am not much for racin', but the gauntlet has been thrown down by a kid drining the following: 1997 F250 PSD w/ Intake, exhaust, shift kit, and after market trans.

Will my stock '06 w/ 48re beat it?

Sorry I dont have more info on the other truck.

On Edit, he says this is all he has done to his truck.

well depending on what else he has done to the truck i would think that you would beat him... . My stock 06 was just a hair slower than my 02 powerstroke with a full banks powerpac stacked with the 6gun and water meth... . let us know how it turns out :)

In 97 it says they increased the hp to 225 and torque to 480 lb-ft. But they were still non-intercooled up through 97. So even if he does have injectors or a chip he might get hot where as you really don't have to worry about that still being stock.

Oh yeah, you should be able to take him. Unless he turned it into a fueled up Fummins.....

My 07 CTD Stock, is almost as quick as my old 99 PSD that I totaled.

It won't even be close, IF he's telling the whole truth. It would take significant mods to get a '97 past 300 horses.

Heck it would take a lot more money than the whole truck is worth to get to 300hp to the rear wheels... ... :-laf

Sorry to be the wet blanket here but I trust you're talking about going to the track to do this run. If not is Ego worth your license? How about affordable insurance?

Just my thoughts... Speed contest tickets are VERY spendy!

    I'm pretty sure we are all adults here. . He asked for tech not if it was ok to race on the highway.....

I agree!! Nobody was asking if it was OK to race!! If he wanted that he would go and ask his mother :-laf :-laf . Why do people always bring the stuff like that up and totally deviate from what was asked. We all know that if we race on the street that there is a chance that we could be caught in the act and get a ticket. That was not the question asked. Not trying to start an argument but just wondering why someone always has to go there on threads like this??
