Just picked up a new to me 97 3500 2wd dual rear wheel and I am installing an extra fuel tank in the bed. On past trucks, I went to a Transfer Flow dealer and bought their filler hose insert with a 3/8 nipple to fill the main tank on the truck thru the stock fill hose. Went to my local dealer yesterday and found out they now transfer fuel to the main tank thru the vent hose and they do not have the fill hose insert any longer. Won't work for me as I use a Holly fuel pump to transfer fuel and the flow rate will overflow the vent line. Now my question. Does anyone know what the extra nipple (pluged off with a rubber cap) on the fuel gauge sending unit on the main fuel tank is for? Can I hook up my fill line to it to transfer fuel to the main tank? Will it alow the transfer of fuel into the tank? Kind of hard to get in there to see what it is. Thanks for your interest and response.

I have installed a 60 gallon AeroTank in both of my trucks. They replaced the factory tanks and I've been 100% satisfied with them.
