2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission '97 PCM interchangeability

Does anybody have the resources to find out if a PCM from a '97 auto is the same as a '97 5-speed manual? I'm thinking of buying one from a parted out truck to keep as a spare.

Do a archive search. There was somebody on here that swaped from an Auto to a 5 speed and said he didn't have any problems with the Auto PMC. I'm pretty sure it was a 97 also.

I did do a search. Swapping a 5 speed into an auto truck isn't quite the same anyway. Only the transmission changed, not the PCM.

Unless its almost free, I wouldn't take a chance on it.
