98-02 Smarty question

This is probably in the 92 page post on the smarty but I didn't keep up on my reading.

Is there any difference in the programming of the smarty vs the catcher ecm? Obviously there are a lot more options with the smarty, but with the smarty on 9 is this the same as a non comp version of the catcher ecm, and is level 8 the same as the comp version of the old catcher?

Yes, Level nine is full catcher with timing and Level eight is full catcher w/o timing
