I recently bought a 98 2500 12-valve 4x4. i already know the idle needs to be turned up about 75 rpms to make the truck start correctly. right now when i turn the key the starter turns over quite a bit until the engine turns over. if i press slightly on the accelerator though it fires right up. anyway, the problem is the truck dies when in reverse. will turning up the idle solve this problem as well? the only time it doesnt die is if backing in a straight line with no hills. if there is turning or backing up a hill the only way to keep it from cutting off is to give it alot of fuel. i would appreciate any advice!
