Anyone know what the earliest build date is for a 98 12 valve Ram?

I can't say but I do know that DC usually shuts down in July for new model changeover. I would guess that the first ones roll off sometime in August or early September at the latest.

I noticed that some know the actual date and even time of date theirs rolled of the assembly line. I know that mine was made 12/97, what do I have to do to find out the exact date of build?

bbovenmyer, look at the lower left corner of your door sticker and you will see a 6 digit code. Mine looks like this: 101102 and it means this:



10=month

11=day of month

02=hour of day in military time



So my truck was built during the hour of 2:00 on a Saturday morning. Hmmmm...

Hmmm I wonder if any of our trucks were made on the same day or maybe within the same hour??? That would be interesting.

My Build date is 12/03/1997 , hour 22. The truck was built in mexico and is a 2500 club cab, short box 4x4, Forest green pearl.

The truck has over 230,000 kms on it and runs stronger than the day I bought it
