Hey guys I had a customer come in yesterday with a red 98 12v. The transmission is no good... . direct clutch lips seal problem, but with 98000 mile it will need to be overhauled. He is looking to get rid of the truck. . he owes $10900 on it and that is what he is looking to get if anyone is interested contact me and I will get you his number. The Truck is in the New Haven area of Connecticut

if I remember correctly the truck is 98 2500 12v extended cab 4x4 red with tan interior approx 98000 mi

My god man, he only wants 11,000 for the truck. Being a 98 12v I am sure that someone will snatch that up. 12v in that year are rare. :--)

TnLRacing... .

This isnt the the 98 SB Quad with aftermarket wheels from up your ways is it????. PM me a contact number for it either way... ... . Andy

Nope, and get this, I have even seen a 1999 Extended Cab. Rare, yes, very rare.

After owning a quadcab though I'd almost rather have the extended cab instead because it seems to have more backseat room and the cab is stronger (doesn't flex as much and make all those noises around the doors).

Thanks Vaughn, I agree with you. I hate rattles and more parts make more to rattle. People who drove trucks before there ever was even a clubcab should never forget how luxurious the new extra space behind the (ONE) seat was to lock up rifles and tools. Now everybody wants a truck to be a station wagon with a little space for "dirty stuff". To hear all the whining about whether there is a REAL crewcab or not I wonder why some people buy a truck at all. The worst ramification of all this is that monstrosity that does the "presto-chango" from a kinda' truck to a kinda" SUV. THINK of how that will rattle with 50,000 miles on it! And People are buying Those? It's a confused world we live in.

end of rant #3

He's waffling, raised the price

Well I called the guy, he's unsure if he's gonna sell it or not, and has raised the price after he thought about some of the $ he spent on the truck lately, so it's not so great a deal anymore.

Trans needs an overhaul bad, has 98K on it.

That makes it even worse then. I didn't think $10. 9k was too bad but if it is more than that I don't think it is much of a deal at all. JMHO

If he has changed his mind I will stop giving out his number. This was a good deal @$10. 9, but if he is gonna start playing games with the numbers I will stop trying to help him out!! Sorry if this has inconvenienced you.

Mike...

After a chat with him I am convinced he didn't know what or how much it was really worth. This is to me why he has acted the way he did when I called and the reason for his price increase and skitterishness. Once he began to get all the calls from guys you gave the number to it is my belief he did more research and made the price jump. I made one call and will make no more... ..... Andy
