Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 98.5 24v shutting down

I have a 98. 5 24v and when I came to a stop at a red light today it shut down. It did it a couple more times before I could get home. If I baby it it would just bobble when coming to idle, but flogging it would cause it to die when coming to idle. Seems to have good power under throttle but sorry to say I have no guages. When it dies I have to really spin it and it will bobble a little and finally start. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Sorry no sig but here's the short form- 5 spd, 4x4 dually x-cab,4" exhaust, Airraid, Hypertech (hot setting), 162K miles, no other mods.

Sounds like you have a dying injection pump
