98.5 clutch fit 93?

will a 98. 5 model clutch fit a 93? How do you guys feel about centerforce clutches?

bump. Can anyone tell me where to look? I found a slightly used clutch but I can't find out if it will work or if I need to change certain parts.

I believe that it will work, you need to use the short style bolts (stock pressure plate bolts are 2" long) that are used on the newer clutch. Be aware that the later style clutches have less friction area and aren't the greatest if you have trailer towing in mind.

Small trailer towin, mostly just daily driving. I just wanted something a little better quality than stock.

The old clutches were 13", the "new and improved" clutches are 11"... Just to give you an idea, most Mack Trucks have 14" clutches (although they are double disc units). Try and get an original 13" clutch if you can, they have alot more surface area. I replaced the original clutch in my 1990 first gen at 240,000 miles only because I had to do a rear main seal and figured since I had to take the old clutch out, a new one was going back in. The old one still had PLENTY of life left and that truck worked HARD every day, heavy loads and big trailers.

The only reason I wante dto change it was that it chatters at low speed engagement, and I may have to change the rear main seal. Thanks all!
