A little throttle on the ramp onto the highway, engine dies, no CEL. Will not start again.

Had a few dead pedals recently, a couple accopmpanied with CEL, code 0121 in addition to 0602 and 1693.

Had some erratic throttle, very APPS-ish, could see that throttle percentage on the juice display fluctuated when pedal was steady.

My question:

Should I order a VP right away or is there anything I should check first?

Ps, got the truck 3 years ago with 100' miles on it, the lift pump was dead, have no idea how long it had been gone. Replaced lp and have added 30' miles since.

the 0121 code is apps problem. the 0602 is not listed on trouble code list. are you sure you have the number correct? there is a method to reset the voltage on the apps. go to search and type in apps . someone may have it and will post it for you. I would not jump to the vp-44 before checking out the other possibilities. hope this is of some help.

Positive on the 0602, isn't it a code that appears with non stock sw, ie smarty?

Shouldn't the engine start and idle no matter how thrashed the apps is? And if the APPS is the root cause, shouldnt there be a CEL when the engine died?

Thanks

Arlan,

Liftpump runs for a short second when I turn the key, and if I bump the engine it runs for a while like it should. FP around 17psi according to the juice.
