98.5 map sensor or tuner issue

When you plug edge tuner in its reading low map voltage , replace map sensor, made no difference still reading low map voltage. If edge isn’t hooked up truck runs okay but runs ****ty when hooked up to tuner.

can’t figure out what’s going on. Wait to start light also isn’t kicking on when tuner isn’t plugged in.

Truck has 113k miles. All stock. Never even had a ball in the bed.

Truck ran fine up until replaced intake heater relay/and tried to stack smarty.

It could be the ECM or it could be the whatever tuner you have. The WTS light not coming on is not a good sign. I'd get ahold of a code reader and check for codes to see if there's anything underlying which could help point you in the right direction. If there's no codes then call the tuner manufacture and explain to them whats going on and see what they say.

I'd bet money on the tuner going TU. Edge is fairly well known for this as they age.

Is the Smarty still down loaded?
Gotta be careful how you stack em, only one box should be controlling the timing.

The smarty won’t hook up. Going to call.

So the Smarty won't download, the Edge makes the truck run crappy but it runs ok on its own. That's just plain weird. Have you used the Smarty before? Could it be VIN locked?

Smarty was hooked to my 2001 and I think VIN is locked. Haven’t called smarty yet. Will they unlock?

power up the smarty and press the 9 key to see if the info is locked into the smarty
