98.5 Owners Manual

My 98. 5 Ram didn't come with an owners manual and I want to order one. They only list 1 owners manual for 98. Did they use the same owners manual for both engines?

I went to the dealer and ordered the whole owner's manual packet just after buying my '98. 5. The '98 manual covers both the 12 and 24 valve engines.

Mark, you need to get the service manual supplement which covers the 24v engine. The service manual is about 2" thick and the supplement is about 1/2" thick. I forget what I paid for them but it is well worth whatever they cost.

It's $6 for an owners manual, $90 for a service manual, and $20 for the 24v suppliment.



But, they only list 1 Owners manual for a 98, and I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a special 98. 5 Owners manual before I ordered the one listed.

There is only one OWNERS manual for the 98. 5, and yes, it coveres both the 12 and 24.



There is 2 SERVICE manuals. One coveres everything for the truck and 12V, then the suplement covers the 24V changes.
