I bought a Prodigy brake controller because mine did not have one. The guy also sold me a wiring harness for a 98 Dodge.

Am I missing something... ?? I cannot find where it would plug in!

The harness, if you have it, will be under the dash to the left of the steering wheel, usually tied up onto a big wire harness. They haven't always had the plug in, if your truck came with the seven wire trailer plug at the rear bumper, it should have the harness. bg

MY 98 12V came with the factory installed towing package and I was able to find the plug in under the dash near the steering column. If for some reason there is no plug in you could wire according to prodigy instructions packaged with the unit. There are only 4 wires Black is Hot and White is ground. Red is connected to the brake light switch activated by the brake pedal. Connect to the side that goes to the brake lights. Blue goes to the trailer brakes. I just got through installing a Prodigy replacing an old one of another brand that was not working as well as is should. Haven't tried it yet but am confident it will work well. I know the guys at the store for years and they have built a good reputation on telling it like it is. Should have bought the old one from them. Too soon old and too late smart. Let me know how yours works if you can. -- email address removed --
