99 5-speed still whining at 26000, what is it????

I have 26000mi. on my 99 w/a 5-speed. It has made an irritating whining noise at about 2000rpm since new. I have a K&N filter in the stock housing with the fender boot removed and all of my intercooler lines are tight. I think I read something about a coolant line or fitting but my search came up with nothing. Any help is greatly appreciated because this whining sucks. #ad

Hey Snyder,
My 99 2500 isb did the same, there are several post under "engine howling" that will tell you the second part of this problem.
The snorkle from the fender to the airbox and the heater hose from the heater core to the engine head.
There is a tsb from dc to repair or you can complete yourself by removing a small gromet inside the heater line conection.

I just took the heater line off and there is no grommet or anything in there, just hose. I had Dodge replace my t-stat about 3 months ago, and I dont know if the tech removed this grommet while he switched out t-stats. If he did he didnt mention it. I tried to look up the tsb, but this site tells me there is no such address. Any other help is appreciated!

Issue 30 states the tsb is 09-04-99 and says the hose connector is the culpret. I'll take it in this week and see if this does the trick. I'll post the results.
