Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) '99 6speed???

is it possible that a '99 quadcab short box has a 6spd transmission that is factory??i thought they didnt make these until 2001??and what about the hi output... . when did they start putting these in ??

Yes,although it will have the smaller input shaft. The engine is the std 235hp ETC

Yes it is!

Mine's factory - bought it new in January 00. Wasn't sure about the six speed at first but now I love it.



I think there were 2 HP ratings in 99. The autos got a lower one (215?) and the 5 and 6's got a higher rating (235?)

That's a rare beast you have there. I almost went with the six speed when I put in the order for my truck. They were hard to come by in late 98 and through a good part of 1999.

not many made

Only 1500 of them were made in '99 with the 6-spd. I think all of them are with the ETC engine.
