2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 99 brakes are spongey egr type!!

installed egr system including new hoses. bled system at least 5 times . no air. i have fair brakes but cannot lock front on pavement. all will lock on dirt but antilock releases rear as it should. my problem is when making a panic stop i can depress pedal another 4 inches without any increase in braking effect. i have about 2000 miles on new system. hydro boost seems to pass test as decribed in 99 service manual. i have bled propional valve & rear antilock valve as well as master cylinder. still feels like air to me . any help would be greatly appricated. thanka in advance. walt gilmer trapper creek ak.

Walt,

Did you use a pressure bleeder?

I had to bleed mine a couple of times after I installed my EGR system.

I have a good pressure bleeder if you want to use it.

Bob Thanks For The Reply. I Did Not Use A Pressure Bleeder. That Is About My Last Hope . it Would Be Great If I Could Use Your Pressure Tank. Happy To Make Contact With A Tdr Member Here In Ak. Ihave To Go To Anchorage Air Port At 600 Pm. Thanks Again For The Reply Walt
