I am trying to make a decision on this truck, and was hoping to get a few more opinions. Here is the description-

1999 2500- 4x4, Auto, SLT, Black in color, Quad Cab, 33000 miles, Tow Pkg, loaded except leather. Told that is was just a commuter, on towing or pulling. Asking price is 23500. I ran the vin on Carfax- came back clean, no flags. What should I look at and check out when looking over the truck? I need the advice of guys who know, I just want to make a good decision. Thanks-

Sounds like a good deal. I bought mine used in September with 35,000 miles on it (see sig) it has everything but leather. Daily driver no goose neck or 5th wheel use. I paid $25,000. Plus I added the 5 year 100K diesel wrap so out the door price was $27,000. Mine blue booked at the time for $33,000. If you like it I would buy it. My dealer told me last week that good used CTD's are hard to find right now, he does not have one used one on his lot, and he is the 18th largest volume CTD dealer in the country.

I bought mine three weeks ago for 22900 and it had 29000 on it when I bought it. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me as long as the truck is clean. Mine was a commuter too, no towing that I can tell of.

When looking for trucks look in places you wouldn't expect. I found mine at a Land Rover Dealership. Some guy traded in (see sig... big change for him) on a 80K land rover lol. I had driven buy it countless times and the last time I drove by I was WTF is that a CTD on a landrover lot?? I walked up to it just knowing it was going to be an auto which i did not want at the time. But it was a 5-speed and they were only asking trade in value for it. Then I got $2500 off of that since I sell batteries to them and the lexus lot next door. In Nov of 2000 I paid 22. 5K for it it had 20K miles. I believe I was the first one to put a reciever mount in to pull something also.

That looks like a good deal to me, espcialy considering its a 4x4. I wanted a 4x4 but the 4x4s similiar to mine were going for ALOT more... still want one damnit lol
