Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 99 dodge 5 speed

Has anyone put a 6 speed in a 99 dodge that has a 5 speed. If so, what does it consist of.

There have been a few that have done just that. If memory serves me correctly the drive shafts need to be changed and there might be something with the transfercase. The nice thing is you already are a hand shaker, it makes the move much easier.

You can get a complete kit from Quad4X4, Dan is a good guy to deal with. The kit has everything you need, Brand NEW Trans, South Bend Con-O clutch, flywheel, transfer case shifter extension, and the back-up light extender, and the plate to mount the trans to the crossmember. All you will need to do is shorten the rear driveshaft and lenghten the front about 5-6". You have to mount the crossmember farther back, they're is supposed to be a 2nd set of hole in the frame, although I have yet to see them on mine. No big deal, I can drill holes all day. I'm doing my 01 in the spring.
