99 Ram Auto Throttle Position Sensor

Guys,



I was wondering if you can help me out with a warrenty question. My friends 99 Ram has 49000 miles on and the throttle position sensor just went out. Dealer told him that the sensor isn't covered under warrenty and will cost him about $450. 00 to replace. Is this accurate or is the dealer trying to steal some cash.

D-C right

The TPS went out in the older rigs, and you were SOL without an extended warranty. I am afraid D-C has the right to rape your friend on this one. He might be able to clean the sensor and have it work some more.
