2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission '99 Tie Rod/Drag link conversion

I've searched and searched and can't seem to find an answer. Can anyonce confirm the interchangability of the '99 4x4 inverted "T" tie rod assembly on a '96 4x4? I've read alot of posts regarding this conversion just can't conifrm it works and how well it works? Mainly wondering if the '99 tie rods fit the existing tapers on my '96. Does anything else need to be changed? ie: pitman arm ect... ? Can anyone confirm the following part numbers too? Thanks: Chris



ES3497 Passenger Inner (Short end of the Drag Link, attaches to Pitman)

DS1459 Passenger Outer (Long end of Drag Link, attaches to Tie Rod)

ES3496 Driver Outer (Short end of Tie Rod, attaches to Driver's knuckle)

DS1456 Driver Inner (Long end of Tie Rod, attaches to Pass knuckle, has hole for Drag Link)

ES3498S Tie Rod End Sleeve

Steering conversion post



I converted my 96 4x4 a few months back. This post has a lot of background info as well as part numbers and pictures. I used the stock pitman arm.
