*Howdy all !
I'm new to this forum ,and new to cummins engine !
I have a 1968 Ford F-350 Crewcab 4X4 with body parts from a 69 and 70 , sitting on a 1979 F-350 chassis with a 1998 5.9 12 valve.
My issue is , I know nothing about CTD, So I'm curious if there's *a Manuel or book at least on terminology of a 12 valve so I can get up to speed (literally)
Thanks in advance !
Ray

You can get a factory service manual from www.genosgarage.com. make sure you get one got 12 valve not 24 valve. *Only bad thing about the fsm it will have every thing else about the *98 ram.
You mite be able to find a manual just on the engine. Or just get on the 12 valve forum and ask. 8 mio

The factory manual has both 12v & 24v in one book. You can get a dvd or printed one.
Here are a few places that you should bookmark:
https://cumminsengines.com/parts * * *You can register your vehicle engine serial number (up to 5 or 6 vehicles free) and get IPB of any cummins engine part.*
http://dodgeram.org
http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/94-98-engine/58777-joe-gs-fuel-system-writeup.html * * I would print this one out and keep it in a folder. The very best info(IMO) on a your fuel system.
Also, there is a lot of information on YouTube about cummins 12 valves.(some excellent, some not so good)

You'll find all the info you need about your 12V through this site and its members, fire away with questions (well, maybe try a search first).

I'd love to see some pictures of this truck!

Also the option of going to cummins quickserve online and register for the owners option. You can enter your engine serial number and have access to parts and service information. Completely free.
