I'm afraid I would have to build one, probably be a Ford w/Cummins power. Or I would buy the smallest Cummins powered medium duty offered. After 15 years of Cummins powered pickups, I couldn't hack a gasser. If there was no Cummins Power of any kind available, I would still be running FE-big block Fords. Sorry, I guess I didn't answer your question!!!

no diesels huh? :{

probably wouldn't buy a pickup at all. the gas mileage numbers are too scary. :eek:

i know i can't haul much with the caravans, but since i don't have to pull heavy trailers, i'd be back in the caravan. :(

I would most likely jump in a Tundra. I want one any way,but the cost is/was too high when I bought my used 1st gen,so I went the low cost route, but still like the Toyota.

this 3rd gen body has really grown on me... so if no diesel was avalable, i think i'd get an other 2500 like mine, but with the 6. 1 hemi if that ever comes out into the trucks [like the srt-8 is getting] with a 6 speed manual...

For a Gasser?

Definitely have to go Chevy. HAve never had a problem with that 350, and not only that, but the truck also holds up. A different frame design would be nice, but you just can't beat a Chevy truck. Now only if the cummins was offered from GM...

I would go Chevy with a big block and a stick. Thats what I was looking for when I bought my 1st gen. For the price the guy wanted I couldn't walk away.

On a side note. My wife works for D. C. I wouldn't want a gas powered Dodge.

I would buy a 1990 Chevrolet 3500 4x4, 454 auto or stick. I think back then, they already put the 4L80's in them... Bulletproof transmission. Either that, or do an NV4500. Definitely a Chevy. Could never own an older ford. The model of Chevy I want is the one with the 80's body style, flat front grille, with 4 headlights. I am sure y'all know what I am talking about. Sharp looking truck! Oooh!!! And Still had a REAL METAL DASH! Only way to go!

The Dodge part of my '99 has been better than any Ford or GM I have owned or been around, and Ive never had any trouble at all getting 250,000 miles from my Dodge gas engines, I would go Dodge again in an instant.

I'd proly be in a SuperDuty faster than you can say FORD... the dealership is a mile away, I'm friends with the owner's daughters, and they are a better heavy duty truck. They also have the BEST service dept in town. I worked at the GM and DC garages, too.

The only think that sucks about Ford is the way they support the tree hugger organizations...

Started out with Dodge Pickups and now have 5 in our company... . we felt it best to stick w/ Dodge since they have been very reliable for us and easier to stay w/ 1 brand so parts interchange (Spark plugs (yes all are gassers except 1, Filters etc... . ).

If I had to choose a gasser I would have to get something old enough to be emissions exempt screw the EPA I would build a 1979 Dodge W400 with a 392 or 426 Hemi there is just something about a stock gasser that makes the same amount if not more Horse power as it's cubic inches not to mention after market parts for a 392 are pretty cheap.

Ford V10. Smooth, powerful and unique exhaust note. Gas mileage can be controlled to some extent but not if you pulling heavy loads.

I'd have to go with a superduty. Reason? I hate GMs IFS and the hemi doesn't make enough torque for pulling. I think fords V10 will be the engine to beat when they employ the 3 valve technology used on the 5. 4. The second exhaust valve allows lots of low end torque without giving up the high end HP. I bet we'll see this on the V10 next year.

TTT One more time!

Just want to see if there are any more comments. Really wanted to know if we were buying Cummins that just came in a Dodge wraper. It looks like so far Ford is the winner, but I suspect it is due to the full size crew cab. Am I wrong?
