I just wanted to post a big THANKYOU to all the offers of help.
Whilst atempting to pull the sled I managed to snap the pressure plate in half :--)
I wanted to thank Bob for the loan of his new clutch, Jason from Northwest Custom for helping to install the new one, Rick Harvey for coming back to check on us and the offer for dinner at his house, Peter at South Bend Clutch for warranting something that was being used & abused for a purpose for which it was not designed.
A special Thank-You goes to Chuck & Mike at
Diesel & Gas Performance in Visalia, Ca. [559-732-8254]
for opening up their shop on Sunday and helping to get me back on the road. Chuck even had to weld the bellhousing back together. When the pressure plate snapped, a piece came out and almost sliced the housing in half.
I'll get some pic's posted once I have time to figure out how to do so.
