and wants to change the oil... ... I've told him about the TDR... to sell him on this place for a membership - can someone show me where the good poop is on changing oil on this one...

i. e.

1. How much oil

2. I understand you need a bottom attaching filter wrench - what size is it... .

3. I use a 1/2 square drive for my oil pan... what do you use on this one...

4. Fleetguard # for filter...

This guy doesn't have a lot of tools - so I want to make sure we have whet we need... .

Any hints---I use the plastic bag on the filter - and preload it with oil - and I know in the past hercules put the filter on at the factory... .

It seems that most people will tell you 11 quarts, I use 3 gallons.

Not sure on the size of filter wrench.

Square drive works on this one too, but I can't remember if it's 3/8 or 1/2. I use a valve on my oil pan.

For the filter, it is a LF16035. That is the good one. FLEETGUARD LF16035 - STRATAPORE OIL FILTER ('03-'08) DODGE-Dodge Cummins and Ford Power Stroke Diesel Truck Accessories - Geno's Garage

Plastic bag is a great idea and yes Hercules put the filter on and then Popeye double checked it.
