a/c blows

my fan still blows when the key is turned off . i have to turn the fan switch off every time i get out of the truck. the key can be out of the ignition and you can turn the fan on or off. any ideas ? thanks 2003 3500

That's a new one on me. Does the door chime "ding" when the door is open and the keys are out?

I'm wondering if it's a problem with the ignition switch. Does the radio continue to work with the key off?

Mine does the same... just the blower motor runs. Will try to replace the electrical portion of ignition switch. BWD Part #CS829 at Advance Auto.

Maybe the relay for the fan motor is stuck??? bg

I just had the same problem-in addition to blend door and mode switch issues. The ignition switch tested bad, was replaced. Problem seems to be solved, but will watch closely for awhile!
