A/C capacities and pressures?

What is the capacity of our A/C systems? I believe that it's 3. 4 lbs but I'm not sure... .



Also what are the high and low pressure readings supposed to be? When compressor is on, I'm showing 115 psi, then when it's off it bleeds down to 75 psi. The low pressure side is 5-7 psi. I know that I have a leak but I just want the A/C to work until I can get to the stealership.

How much

The 134 refrigerant charge is 28 ounces. The clutch cycling switch opens at 25# and closes at 43# suction pressure. The suction pressure will vary with outside temperature, at 70F outside it should be 35-40#, at 90F it should be 50-60#. The high side is limited to 450# and resets at 270#. At 70F outside temp. dischagre temp. should be 135-145#, At 90F it should be 215-270#. This is 1999 year model info. bg
