Anyone else had the A/C clutch make a terrible noise when you turn on the A/C? My problem is intermittent, but at times when I turn the A/C on at idle it sound like pieces are going to fly through the hood. I'm about to run out of the 36/36k so I figure I will have it checked. Any clues as to what to tell the stealer would be helpful if anyone else has experienced this.

Thanks:D

The clutch on my compressor broke. If you look at the front of the clutch plate their are some flat 1/2 inch wide pieces that connect the outer portion to the inner. Look to see if those are broken. If they are, just replace the clutch plate. It's only about $150. The whole compressor is about $1150. Then again it might just be your belt. Good luck.

Yep same here. I have posted this question a couple of times and I did get back some good feedback that seems to help the problem a little.

Before you shut down your truck while using the AC, let the fan blow while the AC is off. Doing this has seemed to help mine.

But is it scary sounding. And the Stealer could never duplicate it.
