My a/c compressor failed on my '91 1st gen. I removed the old compressor and I have a new reman compressor. I know that it came with shipping oil in it, am I suppose to add more a/c oil and how much? Anything else I should do or be aware of before I install my new compressor?

Put a new ac drier on, as a rule of thumb you should replace the drier when ever replacing other major parts like compressors or condensers elect. and have charged with real ac equipment not with the cans from the part stores.

Oil also depends on what refrigerant is being used one thing to reember that a lot of guys forget lube the o rings upon installation or they will leak !!
