My 2004 5. 9 seized the A/C compressor, I bought the non A/C belt and found the belt routing online for a non A/C engine. But with the new routing the grooved side of the belt will run on the smooth tensioner pulley. Is there a different pulley available or another way I can bypass the A/C, as I don't have the funds to repair the whole thing right now?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Looking at diagram for My 96 it looks like the belt for no AC should be on the smooth side for belt tensioner pulley.

Here is a photo taken from my 96 should be same for 97.

Thanks! Thats the image I was going off of earlier for the belt routing. Any idea where I can get a tensioner pulley that has a grooved pulley on it?

Any auto parts store should have them or be able to get them. One for a truck without A/C may have to be ordered since I don't imagine they stock many of them. Geno's may have one.
