2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission A/C condensation

The sump on my A/C just above the passenger foot area is getting very cold & condensing a lot of water that drips onto the rug. Sometimes it's not just a little water either. The rug gets soaked. This can't be normal. Ideas anyone?

The drain port for the condensation must be plugged and allowing the cold runoff from the evaporation coil to pool up inside that housing, causing "sweating" on the outer case - have you checked the drain hose?

That was exactly it,Gary. It was hard to reach but I got a small nail in the hole & out came a stream of cold water. Must have drained near a gallon. Interestingly enough, I see another thread tonight about the same thing.

Galdangitall! I got all that cold waterr to drain yesterday. Now The heat won't shut off no matter how I twist the knob.
