today I turned my a/c on and there was no expected cold air..... (crap I said) (head spinning thinking of what all could be wrong) so first chance I got I opened hood to see if I could see anything... and low and behold I found a leak on the condenser right were the bumper hit it when it got wrecked, the viberations finally developed a small crack. ... ... . So have any of you ever had to replace the condeser? how much do they cost? anyone know of a inexpencive plaec to get one..... this really sucks since I am getting married tomarrow and we are going on a week and a half honeymoon in my truck (yellowstone... ect. ) so... any ideas?? . . Jim

Any dealer you go to will probably have to order it, it may be faster to do a junk yard search and have any AC shop install it. If you contact a junk yard that's connected to the nationwide computer it may well be that one is available along your trip route.

Any good radiator shop can repair it and test it. The price should be quite a bit less than new. Junk yard can give you someone elses problem. Good Luck.

Happy Trails

well here is the results... ... as a last minute ditch effort I JB welded it, I figured I could not hurt much and since it was such a tiny hole I decided it just might work, well got up early sunday morning and got it on and cureing. about 12:15 PM I started rechargeing the system and by 12:45 or so and two cans of refrigerant later it was done... . just enough time to get cleaned up and to the church by 1:30 (was spose to bew there by 1:00 ) Got pictures taken and by 3:00 I was married! :) and we just got back from our 1817 mile honeymoon and the A/C worked perfectly. I will be keeping my eyes open for a new condeser, but for now its working :) just to make everyone else feel better..... Moab DOES have the highest fuel prices on the planet!!!  . I havent figured it all out yet but my average mileage must be close to 19 MPG thats with a old camper shell that sticks up 8 or so inches and out on both sides 4-6 inches, not huge. . but still a wind catcher. anyway sorry for being so long. Jim
